The role of Meredith

I rubbed my hands together nervously as I walked into the audition room.

Once I got in, I first noticed the director in the middle; he was looking annoyed and frustrated, making me more nervous. The other people around him were the producer of the movie, his personal assistant, and some investors.

“What’s your name?” he asked with furrowed eyebrows.

“I am Eliza Greene,” I introduced myself.

“I am auditioning for the part of Meredith." Meredith was the name of the female lead in the movie. When I said I was auditioning for the role of the female lead, the director and everyone else just had to look at me like I was a fool.

“Young girl, I am seeing your bio here, and it does not say that you are an experienced actor. Are you sure you want to do this?” He asked, and if I were to be in a cartoon, black lines would have appeared above my forehead just to show how inwardly annoyed I was. Why did he ask for an introduction when he literally had my entire bio on his desk?
