The wedding day should be the best day of any woman’s life, but for me it has been nothing but something forced upon me that has turned it into the worst day of my life. This is the second time I was being prepared to be a bride. And this time too I’d prefer to run away rather than attend my own wedding.

“Would you like us to pin your hair up?” One of the girls asked, I think her name is Jean.

I shrugged as another silent tear escaped my eye. Good, I was pathetic. I was an emotional wreck and there was no hiding it. Jonathan had promised me that he would take care of my brother before escorting me back to this room where the two girls were waiting to do the magic and turn me into a good looking bride. I wonder if they could do tricks to my aching heart too.

At some point she has to remember how much she loves him and yes, he lied but she’d be tortured to death if he hadn’t done all this. How can she think to come him to that nasty old man she was going to be sold off to? She was thinking this when they came to get her. She’s just reacting now.

it is really heart breaking what both are going through, maybe Jonathan should have listened to her when she asked him to run away..maybe he would have choose correctly for a change.. I know he can't but I just wanted to imagine it for a second..
