I sighed as his fingers combed through my hair and carefully eased the knots in them. I closed my eyes my head resting against his muscular chest as we sat in a rocking chair, looking out the patio door. The sun was setting and the sky was a beautiful shade of pink and purple but what had me sighing in contentment was the man whose one arm was around my waist and another on the back of my head.

I grabbed his wrist that was resting on my stomach and turned his hand between mine. “Are you ever going to tell me what happened to your fingers?” I asked. I have asked this same questions for the last few days and he hadn’t answered me once.

“It’s nothing.” The same answer he had been giving me every time.
