Markus was currently at the Hunt residence.

Once he heard the call end with a "beep", his face dropped.

Seated across from him, Elijah observed Markus' darkened expression and sarcastically remarked, "Is that the impression she has of you?"

"I guess she's still not over those carnations you sent her," Markus retorted.

Elijah was dumbfounded by Markus' reply. At the mere mention of carnations, Elijah's mood hit rock bottom.

Just how could someone be so clueless? A florist, of all people, was unable to tell carnations from roses.

Just thinking about it, Elijah got so frustrated. It was like a pain in his gut. He had never made such a basic blunder in his entire life, and this time, it was utterly humiliating.

Even if he burnt down the flower shop, that annoyance wouldn't just magically vanish.

"Why can't you just go and apologize?" Elijah grumbled, his frustration evident.
