Kathryn's heart almost stopped! She could feel Chris's breathing get erratic, which scared her even more. "Mr. Albert, no!

With a burst of energy, she broke free of Chris's powerful hold and backed away.

Chris was still drunk, but the action sobered him up completely. There was no more warmth in his eyes, only coldness!

When Kathryn saw his cold look, her chest tightened. "Mr. Albert," she called out timidly.
