Lucas's grip on Luna tightened as she struggled beneath him.

"Let me go!" Luna exclaimed. She admitted her mistake, but it wouldn't have happened if Lucas hadn't ignored her. There's a cause and effect to everything, Luna thought.

"Remember, our marriage is just on paper. So, I have every right to meet whoever I want," Luna continued, making Lucas clench his jaw even tighter.

"And that's why I've never dared to open up my heart to you. You don't truly love me, Luna. You only feel comfortable when we're together, and to me, that's not love," Lucas's words made Luna furrow her brow.

Luna was certain she loved Lucas. Her heart raced every time he touched her, kissed her, or even just smiled at her. She felt those things only for Lucas, but his recent words had left her bewildered. How could he conclude that what she felt wasn't love?

"How can you conclude that what I feel isn't love?"

"The word 'love' isn't that easy to forget and let go," Lucas replied, leaving Luna momentarily stunned.
