I woke up groggily, my head throbbing with dull pain as I tried to orient myself. The cave's cool, damp air surrounded me, and I could feel the roughness of the rocky walls against my skin. It took me a moment to realize where I was, and confusion washed over me like a tidal wave.

The cave was dimly lit, with soft rays of sunlight filtering in through small openings in the rocky ceiling. The gentle trickle of water could be heard nearby, a soothing melody amidst the silence of the cave. The ground beneath me was covered in a layer of moss and leaves, providing a semblance of comfort.

As I sat up, I looked around, expecting to see Jessica beside me. But to my surprise, it was Rachel who was sitting a few feet away, her eyes locked on mine with concern. My mind struggled to make sense of the situation. How had Rachel replaced Jessica? Had I been dreaming? The events of the previous night felt hazy and disjointed, as if they were memories from a different reality.
