Chapter 5

  AFTER SCHOOL

  ( Riley POV)

  The school was finally over. I waited for Amy at the school entrance gate. I was still pissed at what she told me that, her father didn't wait her friends or anyone near her. like like what the hell! But she promises to tell me everything about herself.

  Finally, I saw her walked out of the school, I waved at her; so that she can see me. As soon as she saw me, she smiled brightly at me. Ready to go?

 

  ( Amy) Yeah, but where are we going Ri?

  A nearby cafe close to the school.

  ( Amy) I see.

  Did you drive to school? or you took the school bus?

  ( Amy) I took the school bus. Why?

  I smiled at her brightly, just wanted to know.

  ( Amy) no problem.

 

  The following arrived at the cafe

 

  Riley ordered drinks for himself and for her.

  ( Amy) thanks

  not a problem buddy.

  ( Riley) So, please tell me about your mom.

  She smiled and nodded her head.

  (Amy) sure why not.

  ( Amy) Me and my mother, are very close to each other. My mom is my only friend I have in this world.

  Until one faithful day, my mom caught my dad cheating on her, with another woman, in their bedroom. She packed her bags and asked my dad for devoice, they have been problem since I was in middle school. I asked my mom for me to tag along with her. But she said no, that she will come and get me when she is settled down. I told her alright and stayed behind with my dad. Here I thought everything will fine. I was dead wrong, it was the beginning of my nightmare.

  To cut the story shot.....

  you already know my dad hates me having friends or any sort of relationship. What I haven't told that....h...he...um...rapes me and beats me any chance he got.

  Amy starting sobbing....

  Amy, please don't cry. Riley said with a worried look.

  ( Amy) My dad told me not to say a word or else...he'll beat me.

  Riley clutched his fists to his side and was pissed off when he was listening to Amy's story.

  ( Riley) Did you tell your mom?

  ( Amy) No, I didn't because I was too afraid to tell her, cause her to worry too much.

  ( Riley) So, is your mother remarried?

  (Amy) yeah, she remarried a man named David Knight. My mom told me how happy she was with him, and how he treats her well.

  ( Riley) I see. am happy for your mom.

  ( Amy) thanks. Anyway thanks for listening to my story, it has lifted a heavy load off my shoulder.

  ( Riley) Anytime Amy...what are friends for.
