Behind the Mask

I was a little flabbergasted to see him holding a medium-sized kitchen knife. Don't tell me Axe is going to prove what he said in the bathroom. I really couldn't believe it.

"Don't do this!" My steps definitely took a step back as I realized the distance between us was getting thinner.

"Go away!" I screeched almost like a madman. My chest rose and fell feeling tight at the unforgiving glint in his eyes. Is it true that the one in front of me right now is Axe? I shook my head in answer to myself. Of course, there was only one human like him on this earth.

The sound of a stifled voice made my heart instantly hammer. Woefully, there was no more room for me to move. I was locked in with my body restrained by the pantry. "Stop right there!" I exclaimed, trying to grab whatever was still left there, perhaps the chefs had left some leftover ingredients that I could use to throw at Axe's face.
