His Little Secret

"Bridgette open the door, dear." Morine's knock and coaxing voice made me hesitate. Should I go out or stay in my room avoiding Axe.

I took a breath and let it out roughly. I reluctantly opened the door to the room considering I had no more rights than just hitchhiking.

"Bridgette, do you have a story to tell?" asked Morine. We sat on the edge of the bed, Morine gently smoothing my slightly messy hair.

Without being asked, I hugged the middle-aged woman in front of me. She was like a second mother to me. Although we were strangers who finally got to know each other, but I loved her very much. Her sincerity and kindness made her worthy of love.

"I'm sorry, Bridgette. I didn't know that Xelle was the person you had been referring to. I also didn't expect her to do such a bad thing to you. I told her not to bother you. But-" Morine stopped her sentence. Her gaze turned sad.
