“Preston, I need you to do Tai Chi breathing,” I remind my little brother, who is upset over his girlfriend cheating on him with one of his baseball teammates.
So as the big brother, I get the phone call first while he is in the reactionary part of his brain. I’m glad he called so that I can hopefully prevent him from doing anything he will regret later. I wish this wasn’t happening, as I’m in the truck suited up on the way to rescue Jase.
Ryder has another team he sent to rescue Ransom while the doctor stays behind with Carley to prepare for injuries. He is also running everything remotely with Lachlan to track and monitor us.
Each of our bulletproof vests is equipped with a heart monitor. Thankfully, Jase was smart enough to have a tracker under his skin. We all have one now, thanks to this complete debacle of not knowing where Ransom was for two days. We are on day three, but now his location has been identified.
