Chapter Eighteen: Puff Up, They Hate That

Surprisingly, Mom doesn’t say anything to me about the state of my face, not that it mattered because Lachlan told her all about it.

Mom was thrilled to see him. I guess she missed having him around as much as I did. She has some very embarrassing stories about Lachlan and Carson. It made my heart ache but in the best way as if we are honoring Carson’s memory by talking about him.

“In hindsight, it probably wasn’t the best idea to run around naked while camping in the pasture. Carson and I wanted to see what it was like to live as nature intended. Having to show Mom our itchy red dicks was mortifying.” Everyone chuckles at Lachlan’s words, even Storm. Instead of blushing he just laughs. It’s so weird to have the boys at the table when it’s been the four of us for three years.
