Renata woke up, the glare from the lamplight piercing into her retinas. She held her head, which felt heavy, and tried to get up.

"You're awake, girl," Davero said.

"Father? Bastian can't be dead, can he?" sobs Renata.

Davero just smiled and rubbed Renata's head.

"The search is still on; no matter what, I'll keep looking for him," said Davero.

"I have to go; I have to find her," Renata said, getting up, and Davero tried to hold her back.

"No Rena. Entrust everything to me," Dave said.

"I have to find him myself to make sure he's alive!" sobbed Renata.

"You're pregnant, Renata."

"You are pregnant. You're three weeks along; you need to take care of your health as well as your foetus."

Tears rolled down her cheeks. "I-I'm pregnant?"

"Yes," Davero replied. "Entrust everything to me. I will continue to search for Bastian's whereabouts."
