Leading to One Person

Renata had just come down the stairs. She frowned when she saw a middle-aged woman enter the mansion carrying several bags of groceries. Renata recognised that woman. If she remembered correctly, she was Julian's wife.

"Good morning," he said, greeting the woman with a wide, motherly smile.

"Good morning, Tante. Emm, Bastian has just left," Renata replied as she stood in front of the woman.

"Don't call me Tante. Call me Mom," she said to none other than Maria, Julian's first wife.

"Eh?"

"You're my daughter-in-law, so call me Mom."

"Umm okay."

Maria smiled warmly at her as she rubbed Renata's head. Renata felt that Maria was nice; she was so motherly, not much different from her mother.

"Mom, bring some food. Have you eaten yet?"

"Not yet, Mom."

"Then let's have lunch together."

Maria took Renata to the dining table. She took out all the dishes she had brought.

"Mommy cooked for you and Bastian. Unfortunately, Bastian has already left, so you can just eat, yes," Maria said, looking exc
