After around 3 hours of driving constantly, Shaw killed the motor before a shabby cottage which didn't look clear due to the darkness as it was already night time. It was not convenient for them to stay out when they had Kathy with them. Even if they are all trained to deal with sleeplessness, hunger and pain, Kathy is a normal person who needs rest to amass her energy back.
