Chapter 34 Keeping Track of her

Cheryl had picked Mia up for their supposed date to hang out around town. She wanted to show the town off to Mia so badly. They had never been far away from each other for such a long time before and she wanted to tell her a whole lot of things.

Cheryl noticed that every time she looked her way, Mia seemed lost in thought. If Mia wasn't breathing, she could have sworn she was a walking corpse.

"Stop acting like a zombie, Mia and don't slouch.” Cheryl rebuked, steadying her shoulders.

"I didn't slouch, Cheryl." Mia argued.

"Oh yes you did."

"No, I—“ The curt look Cheryl gave her shut her up. She was only pregnant and was already acting like a mom. "Fine, I am sorry…I would walk right. Are you satisfied ma'am?"

She smiled widely. “Of course! Now I am satisfied." She pointed to an opened restaurant. “I am so hungry, let's eat there."

Mia stared wide eyed, "Didn't you just wolf down a giant sandwich before we stepped out of the shop?”
