Chapter 17 Lonely feeling

Adam hit the ball into the basket and jumped at his victory. He had gone to the town sport center to play basketball. Calling Asher to join him, but he had turned it down saying he had a date and was payback for the last time he turned him down too. He laughed at his friend’s goofiness. Cleaning his face with a towel, he saw Asher standing in front of him with his face blank.

"What's wrong bro? I thought you ditched me." Adam chuckled as he walked towards him.

"Do you know any Bryan around here?" Asher questioned.

"Bryan?" Adam looked confused.

"Cheryl's ex."

"Oh yeah, she told me about him. What’s up with him?"

"He hit Cheryl." Asher replied his eyes filled with rage.

Adam dropped the towel in his hand. “What? Are you for real?”

"Yeah, you heard me right the first time. He hit her."

"Who the hell does he think he is to touch my girl!”

"We would find out when we get to him. Let's go find the bastard."
