Sixteen— The Party

Brisk walking in heels is indeed a challenge. I have reached my destination, and I was gasping for air. I stopped for a moment to catch some air and the guards of the hotel were looking at me. One guard asked me if I need assistance. I told him I am all right. I entered the hotel and went straight to the front desk to ask where the nearest washroom. Then, I followed the staff’s instruction and found the comfort room. As I looked in the mirror, I said, “you look awful, Heather!” My face all oily and sweaty. The makeup is gone. I think I did my best to freshen up a little. I still have five minutes before the party starts.
