I gazed at the pink horizon, the bone chilling weather couldn't stop me from having my morning coffee, standing in the balcony of our room. The sun hadn't risen yet.

I recalled the events which took place in last two days and especially last night.

Mine and Charlotte's relationship was just like this winter morning, there's only mist with no clarity. She spent the night with me. We had one of the best sex our lives but it wasn't enough for cementing our weathered marriage.

I had to win back her trust and make my son call me 'Dad'.

Victorine and my father became the biggest hurdle. Yesterday morning, she texted me the report of her pregnancy confirmation and also told me that she asked the doctors to save her baby's DNA so she could prove that it was mine.

I could see her true colors now but it was too late. I wish I could reverse wheel of time and believed Charlotte when she used to warn me against her.
