Chapter 42: Sleeping beauty

"Are you sure?" That was Barbara's words.

"Yes, I could leave my phone here, if you think I am lying."

"Good then, your phone is perfect." Barbara dragged the phone from his hand, Dante wasn't expecting that, he only wanted to use that as an alibi. "Get going, you don't want me, changing my mind."

"Sure! I go on now." He hurries out of the condominium, gets into his car, he hits the steering wheel. "What thy fuck was I thinking? Using my phone as an alibi." He zooms off, he is in a hurry, to get to the meeting, the faster he gets there, the fewer chances that Jayden will keep calling him and since the old man is there the situation might get complicated.
