Chapter 71: Let's be friends

"Wait here, I will be back." He grabbed his phone and went out, Barbara watched his back as he moved into the living room, her brain racing, with the whole event that had just taken place, she kept thinking of how stupid she had become, letting him flirt with her without stopping him.

"Is this my imagination or this is real?" She thought in her head then pinched herself. "You should stop now Barbara, I don't think he is in love with you."

Dante was sweating when he returned, she looked at him.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I have a call from my mom, she is a bit under the weather, so my attention is needed, will you come with me?"

Barbara looks at him, she is dying to say yes, yet she is scared of making Dante realize her true feelings for him. She needed to be patient and let Dante tell her if he felt anything for her. A man is supposed to express his feelings for a woman, not the other way around.
