Chapter 75: Steamy scene

"Stop, you've mistaken, ma'am!"

Emma winced in pain as the middle-aged woman yanked her hair, pressing her body down.

"Mistaken? I saw you leaving the hospital dressed exactly like this with my own eyes. Are you going to deny it to that extent?"

After struggling for a while, she managed to free herself from the woman's grip, but the woman quickly slapped Emma hard on her right cheek. The slap came so suddenly that Emma felt pain.

She held her slightly swollen face, glaring at the irrational woman, her chest heaving with anger.

"Mommy…" Charlie was scared and didn't understand what was going on. He stepped between the two of them and pushed the woman away from Emma, "Stop hitting my mom. We don’t know you." His small hands reached out to protect Emma.

“But your despicable mom must know me.”

Emma used her body to shield Charlie, then coldly stared at the middle-aged woman spouting unreasonable accusations. She sternly ordered, "Charlie, close your eyes and cover your ears!"
