33. Being Blamed
“I have to go back soon. I can't let him take advantage of my mistakes for non-stop service," Gabriella decided with a sigh.
After half an hour in the toilet,the woman finally breathed fresh air. Unfortunately, the tightness in her chest did not decrease. The image of Roberto's act made her shudder in horror. Even though she shook her head very quickly, the memories wouldn't go away.
"Gabriella?" called a familiar voice from the front.
The woman spontaneously straightened her face. Her husband was standing with round eyes and clenched hands.
"What happened? Why are your clothes wet?”
Gabriella immediately lowered her head, letting her hair fall to cover the disgusting mark she failed to remove. That woman did not want to be called weak.
Getting no answer, Max grabbed his wife's arm. The woman immediately gasped and returned her gaze with a slight tremble.
“Did Amber bullied you again?”
Gabriella's blink slowly dissipate

Gabriella silently stared at Max who was bowed in front of her. The attack that had just been launched was completely beyond expectation. She did plan to fight back, but not to the point of scorching her husband's patience. "You've spit on me three times already," Max said in a low, gripping tone. The cold air instantly caressed Gabriella's neck. Her ears had caught the growl between the man's breaths. Even so, she still gripped the pill strip as tightly as she was determined to confront. "That's what happens when you force your will on me," the woman replied in a flat tone. It was difficult for her to put away the doubt in words. Max's eyes slowly returned to greet his wife, showing a hint of annoyance that was no longer contained. "So, you really don't respect me?" "I will never bow to you," Gabriella said, lifting her chin. She must look fierce. "You have no right to rule my life." The grip on her arm suddenly felt stronger.

"By the way, who is that?" Cherry whispered as her eyes caught Gabriella's back. The woman who was originally contemplating suddenly held her breath, worried if her behavior was suspicious. "She is not important. Don't mind her," Max answered lightly. In an instant, Gabriella's lips pursed and her brows furrowed. "There's no need to emphasize it. I already know. That man never really thinks of me as someone important,” she thought angrily. “Well then, I can ask her for help,” Cherry muttered before lifting her neck and calling out. At five in the afternoon, Max finally returned to the room. With a sour look and a wheezing breath, he stared at the door that separated him from his wife. There was only a sheet of paper on the table and a small bag at its corner. The roar of the man's breath automatically grew wilder. "She dared to disobey my orders?" "Tsk, what should I do?" Max thought as he ruffled his hair. That man's gaze was still fixed on the back that shook in sorrow. "Am I being too hard on her?" After a few seconds, Gabriella was still curled up in tears. Her sad sobs made Max's heart more uneasy. Grinning, the man considered the situation. "Should I calm her down?" he muttered doubtfully. After taking a deep breath, Max finally lifted his wife. Unexpectedly, Gabriella's crying stopped in surprise. Her red eyes were then fixed on her husband, full of questions. Every now and then, her shoulders jerked with the remnants of sobs. "No need to be surprised. I just don't want you to bother me anymore,” Max said as he led his wife to the sofa. There, he gently lowered Gabriella and handed her the lunch box. “Eat! Auntie has kindly delivered it to you." A second later, Max returned to the secret room, leaving the woman in amazement. "Is he not mad at me anymore?"

All the way to the airport, Max couldn't stop observing his wife. Gabriella looked cheerful, very different from usual. "What happened in that room?
