As soon as she opened her eyes, Cherry immediately groaned and held her heavy head. The smell of alcohol wafted from her breath made a frown. However, as soon as her brain checked memory, the woman's eyes opened wide.
“Does my plan work? He doesn't know my lie, does he?”
A second later, Cherry looked around. The corners of her lips pulled up when she found her bare body under the blanket.
“Apparently, my plan works,” she muttered before giggling coquettishly.
“But, where's Max? And, why is this room so dark?” the lady thought as she watched the thick curtain that blocked the sunlight.
Suddenly, there was a sound of the door opening. In a flash, the woman who was still lying down, took off the blanket and put on a seductive pose.
"That must be Max. Let's see what he will do to me," the impostor thought behind her tightly closed eyes. She had absolutely no idea that the person was not the man she wanted.
"Cherry's still sleeping?
“Then kneel before Gabriella. Apologize to her and promise not to repeat your mistake," Max said without hesitation. For a moment, the atmosphere became silent. The CEO's wife was still trapped in shock, not expecting her husband to keep her status so high, while Cherry was speechless, considering the condition. A frown of displeasure had overshadowed the lady's restless eyes. Before Gabriella had time to ask her husband for leniency, the beautiful lady had already knelt down with head bowed. "I'm sorry, Miss. Next time, I won't do it again. I really didn't know you were Max's lover." The soft-hearted woman sighed in pity. However, when she was about to touch Cherry's shoulder, her husband held her back. "You don't have to pity her, Gaby. She has to remember this moment so she won't be mean to anyone again, especially you." “But, I think this is enough, Max. She already regrets. After all, isn't she your friend? You shouldn't give puni
Max's words were getting closer to reality. Once they arrived at the destination, Gabriella's mouth was wide open, just like her eyes which stunned at the surrounding scenery. "Why do you bring me here?" the woman sighed, while tracing the colors of flowers on her left and right. "Didn't I tell you? We have to collect evidence of our intimacy," Max replied, smiling at his wife's bright face. “I haven't seen a place like this in a long time. In the past, Mama often took me to visit the flower garden. If only Mama could see this, she would be very happy.” The curve of the man's lips instantly painted more beautifully. "So, are you happy?" Gabriella looked at her husband without the slightest hint of falsehood. "Yes," she nodded. "Then," Max spread his arms, ready to greet his wife, "don't you want to hug me?" The woman's sparkling eyes spontaneously curled into laughter. “I admit that I like this surprise. But, you haven't manage
"Why are you so quiet? Are you impressed by my skill at keeping an eye on you?” the mastermind asked in a teasing tone.Gabriella's lips trembled forcing her tongue to move. However, after a few seconds, her brain still hadn't sent a word."No need to be surprised, Gaby. My eyes and ears are everywhere, including the flower garden where you and Max burnt the air.”The woman's breath was getting heavier. Through the constricted corner of eyes, she examined the surroundings. However, until the mastermind's voice was heard again, Gabriella hadn't found a suspicious figure.“Tsk, you managed to make me jealous of him, Gaby. What if at our next meeting, you give me that sweet kiss too? Or do you want to serve me in bed? I'd be happier."Unable to deal with the anxiety, the woman's eyes began to close tightly. "I've never been mean to you. But why are you bothering me?”"That's the reason I chose you. You're too kind and ge
“Come on, Max, cheer up! When else can you visit the night market? Aren't you always busy with Quebracha? There's nothing wrong with having fun just for one night,” Gabriella exclaimed, dragging the hand she was holding. The man who was one step behind could only sigh in resignation. The crowd around him made the memory spin faster.“How about you try that shooting game?” Gabriella suggested suddenly. "I'm sure you can hit all the targets."Max didn't answer. He just stared at the red circle that seemed boring to him."You don't want to?" Gabriella asked hopefully. After three seconds of waiting, the woman finally pursed her lips and sighed in annoyance. "Then I'll just play alone."Gabriella let go of Max's hand and walked towards the booth. While she was paying, the man was watching her back with a worried look.“Why should there be a night market here?” he grumbled before looking up at the black
After a while, Max finally gave his wife a chance to breathe. Holding breath through a relieved smile, he stroked the face that was still shrouded in confusion."Why are your cheeks so red? We've done it many times."Gabriella didn't answer. She was still looking for an answer that could not be found. “Why did Max kiss me? Is it to divert fear?”Not getting a response, the man returned to greet Gabriella's tenderness. The movements were still the same, slow and full of interest. Not a bit of pleasure he missed. That reality made the woman furrow her brows deeper."No. This man is not afraid. Then why did he kiss me? Is it lust?”In confusion, Gabriella studied her husband's hand. Sometimes Max held her cheek, sometimes the big palm moved to the nape of her neck."No. It's not out of lust. So, what?"Until the cabin they were in reached the bottom, Gabriella still didn't get an answer. Even when she stepped like a rob
“Cold, Max,” Gabriella moaned as her husband placed a scoop of ice cream over her left button. The woman's brows furrowed uncomfortably, as her hands clenched into fists. "Be patient," the man said before placing the almost frozen container on the table. A second later, instead of cleaning the food that had begun to melt, Max brushed the right button with his tasting organ. "Are you testing my patience? It's cold, Max," Gabriella said before biting her lip. Since her husband was an expert in provoking sighs, she had to be more careful in choosing the time to talk. Otherwise, the man's instincts would immediately burn. "To be able to compare, I have to know the original flavor first," Max chirped, deliberately stalling for time. "Then hurry up! You've tried the original long enough.” Gabriella's insistence succeeded in making her husband widen in disbelief. "This is the first time you've asked me to rush devouring you, Mrs Evans." The w
Once the bedroom door was opened, Gabriella stared at her husband who suddenly got up from the edge of the bed. After placing the phone on the table, Max scratched the back of his head then pointed towards the bathroom. "Let me take a shower first," he said in a strange tone. The woman blinked flatly. The husband's behavior had raised questions that are reluctant to be disclosed. "Just do it. I will not take the shower from you," Gabriella said as if she didn't care. A second later, Max nodded and rushed into the bathroom. His hasty steps made his wife even more curious. "What's wrong with him?" Without thinking, Gabriella stepped towards her husband's previous position. From there, she could see two teddies placed side by side on the bed and his cell phone on the table. "Is he hiding something from me?" thought the woman as she took the cell phone. Sitting on the edge of the bed, she examined it carefully. Call history, incomi
"If I love you, what will you do?" Max threw back the question that caused a huge explosion in Gabriella's heart. The woman didn't realize that the arch of her eyebrows had almost matched that of an umbrella.“I never thought about it. So, I don't know,” Gabriella answered with a flat expression.Seeing his wife's adorable response, Max automatically smiled. "If you've never thought about it, then how come you can conclude that I love you?"The woman shook her head in denial. "I am just asking. Your recent attitude makes me feel ....” Gabriella's words were interrupted by the thought that had just occurred to her. After blinking in disbelief and tilting her head, she continued speaking in a questioning tone. "That you care about me?""So, you finally want to admit that I do care about you?" Max teased while raising the corner of his lips.Gabriella's expression suddenly turned doubtful. "Not really. You're usually kind because you
