S2| 143. The Last Gift

While trying to conquer the rumbling in his chest, Julian reached for the box with his name on it. A greeting card was hanging on the red ribbon. After wiping away the tears so as not to block his eyes, he unfolded the paper and looked at the ink strokes that deepened the longing.

“Winter is coming soon. Keep yourself warm! Every time you wear this, imagine that I'm hugging you with love."

After reading the short message, sadness flooded Julian's face. Sobbing and closing his eyes, the man embraced the box as tightly as he wanted to be with his father. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he called, Herbert would never answer.

“Julian, stop …. You can make Cayden cry too,” Mia whispered while rubbing the face of the man who had lost his mind.

Instead of subsiding, Julian's cries grew louder. The man still couldn't believe that his father had gone. He thought they still had plenty of time.
