He lost consciousness

It's very warm outside, even on this cold night. Eric walked toward the guesthouse with great trepidation, but with it even greater determination.

Part of him just wanted to go inside and kill Raymond in his sleep. That will end quickly. Eric wouldn't have to deal with Raymond's betrayal. He wouldn't have to face the man he thought was his father, brother, and friend, and question him as to what was real between them, what was trickery. He wouldn't have to see Raymond's eyes lose that glint of life.

However, Eric knew he had gone too far to not know the full truth. He needed to know for sure. He needed to hear from Raymond's own mouth and see with his own eyes. A part of Eric yearned painfully that it was all a lie from Felipe.
