Chapter 39 True Identity

Throughout the day, Betty kept staring at Flora with an inquisitive look, as if her mere existence was a great mystery. Even while working, she would glance at Flora from time to time.

Feeling uncomfortable with Betty's scrutiny, Flora rolled her eyes and said in exasperation, "Betty, will you ever stop? Don't worship me like a deity, okay?!"

"I don't worship you like a deity, I see you as a ghost..." Betty murmured. "I can't help but feel that you're not real, even though you have body temperature." As she spoke, Betty reached out and touched Flora's face.

Feeling overwhelmed, Flora turned around, thinking that she should keep her distance from Betty. After taking a few steps, she turned back without much hope and gossiped, "Betty, how long has that woman been locked up here?"

Betty looked around and, seeing that no one was there, whispered, "She has been locked up for over a year."
