Chapter 49 Don't Love Her

Maxwell casually glanced at her, greeted Mrs. Smith, and then pulled out a chair to sit down, starting to eat breakfast.

Flora discreetly glanced at Mrs. Smith, who didn't look too pleased. After taking care of everything, she quietly left the dining room and escaped to the backyard. Maxwell watched her flee and a trace of mocking contempt appeared on his handsome face.

Once Flora left, Mrs. Smith couldn't help but look up and stare at Maxwell, "Maxwell, I let her go, why did you bring her back?"

Maxwell had anticipated Mrs. Smith asking him this, and chuckled, "Aunt, I didn't want to let her go yet. In due time, I will take care of her. But it's not as simple as just letting her go."

"What do you intend to do?" Mrs. Smith grew anxious upon hearing his words. "Maxwell, you can't go too far. After all, this is a society ruled by law. Just punish her and be done with it."

"Aunt, rest assured, I know what I'm doing," Maxwell reassured her with a smile on his face.
