Jefferson's POV "Daria, what happened?" I asked. I was furious because of the issues at the bank. I never thought that I was going to face a problem such as this. JS Bank is the number one bank in the country. The clients were either a JS Bank or a non-JS Bank. It's just either of the two. Now our clients are declining. I ignored it in the first month because I knew how the economy was. But the decline in three consecutive months is unacceptable. There must be something going on to make this happen. We have the best service among other banks and I know that first hand. We have bank accounts in competitor banks, so I know. I made sure to be updated with all their services so we wouldn't be late just in case they think of something really good. "I already asked every branch to make a detailed report on the issues that may cause this and they will be submitting it at the end of the day." she replied, but that doesn't answer my question. I'm pretty sure that the board will probably cal
Third Person's POV Celina had been worried about Jefferson after she found out about the problem with the company he was facing. Although she knew that everything on the social media had been manipulated by someone, that scared her even more. She couldn't think of anyone who would do that to the company because, as far as she knew, Scott Group was the number one company in the country, not just for its services, but also for the fair treatment of its employees. The company compensated its employees more than others, competitors or not. When she was working there, she saw how much their employees valued the company and she knew that it was because the company treated them well. If not, they would have been on the street fighting for their rights. Most of what she heard were all praise and gratefulness that the company had helped them in so many ways. "Got some problems?" Dennis asked. She didn't notice that he was already in front of her. "No, not much." "You're in deep thoughts a
Celina's POV "Dennis, I think I will have to leave. I need to go and see Jefferson. Will you be alright here?" I asked. "Everything is fine and we have no urgent meetings whatsoever. You can leave for today." he replied, so I smiled at him, nodding my head. The issue with Jefferson's company is bothering me so much that I cannot focus on my work. I was just glad that I didn't have any projects going on at the moment. Leslie was good and I trusted her when it comes to the company, not with personal things though. She was still angry at me and didn't agree with the fact that I was the head architect of the country club project. My office was just a walking distance from Jefferson's and I took that opportunity to think and find a solution for him as well. I am not used to my husband forgetting about calling me. Don't get me wrong. I do understand that he has his work, but being unable to call me only means that he had a serious problem and that is what made me worried. Jefferson is ve
Jefferson's POV I already see it coming so I get myself ready and prepared. I looked at Celina and smiled, "Nothing for you to worry about," I said, confidently. I didn't want her to worry or think about my problems here, just like what Noris had said, she deserved to be at ease and just enjoy herself. "Since you're already here, you should attend the meeting as well." I added and she nodded while getting up from the couch she was sitting on. "Will Noris be there as well?" she asked, "I was just thinking about if he was going to be there. At least there are three of us that will ensure those old hags that we will be able to take care of everything, right?" "Noris never attended a meeting like this. If he did now, then that's something new," I replied. It was true though, he never came to the board meeting, even once when we were trying to solve an issue or if there was something I needed to affect the board with company issues. He is not the type to confront me either, so coming to
Jefferson's POV I want to laugh at what the faces of the board looked like after Celina told them what she wanted to say. She must have been gaining courage because I was there. The meeting ended with a stupefied look on everyone's faces. Even Noris was surprised. Speaking of him, does he really think that he will be able to do what I can do for the company? Is he out of his mind or was he waiting for this to happen? Noris never asked dad for anything or about the company. Well, he wasn't deprived of his rights and, as much as possible, dad wanted to give him everything he needed. I don't see any reason for him to actually act greedy, as though he was the rightful owner of the company. It was my mother who was with our dad when he grew up the company. Together, they built it until it was strong and big. His mother, on the other hand, chose her family and married someone else. Celina handled the bank for 3 years and I was proud of her. Daria played an important part because she rel
Third Person's POV "I am sorry, dad. But I am not going to let this slide." Jefferson told John. It was over a week ago since Luigi sent him all the evidence that pointed to Noris being the mastermind behind the malicious comments on the company's social media accounts. He only made a decision just now because he didn't want to hurt his father. "Can you just talk to him first? You know he is your brother," his dad replied and he sighed heavily. He knew that this was what he was going to say. He couldn't blame him though. Noris is his son too and it was a lot harder for him to accept it. But Jefferson decided and he promised himself to make anyone who was behind that online attack the company a punishment he deserved. He said those words without thinking that his step-brother was the one behind it. They never fought about any money-related issues and thought that Noris knew exactly what was his. But it turns out that he really loved Celina and would fight him for everything he had no
Celina's POV Daddy John looked like he had added 10 more years to his age when I saw him in his mansion. Jefferson had talked to him about Noris and even if my husband and I didn't want him to feel that way, there was no other way but to make him be responsible for his own action. Noris has defamed his own company and even if he was my own brother, I would surely do what Jefferson had to do. The Scotts Group had thousands of employees here and abroad who relied on it, and many of them were the breadwinners of their own family. Noris is my friend. We met when I was in a coffee shop busy doing my design for an overseas client. There was no available seat for him and I had one on mine, so he asked if I could share it with him, *** Flashback *** "Hi," he said. I looked up at him and found him smiling. He was handsome and I gave him that was very charming. His dimples when he smiled knew was really attractive and I knew that many women in that coffee shop were looking at me with envy.
Celina's POV "You should have waited for me to get you to dad's." Jefferson said when he entered our bedroom. I smiled at him and welcomed him with a kiss. "I know that you are busy and a talk with him tormented you as well, and the fact that you still need to go to the company and make preparations for the board meeting is exhausting too." I replied. "Still, you should have just told me. You know that no matter how tired I am, I still get you wherever you are, so don't do it ever again." "Alright, I won't. I will let you know first before I go home by myself in the future." I replied laughing when I saw him sighing. "Hey, you don't have to worry about me going home all by myself. I'm a grown up and know my way, we don't need to always be together." "No, I want us to be together whenever we're not working. So please, wait for me in your office and go home together, OK?" He pleaded, so I just nodded my head. It's the only thing I can do for him, so if it will make him feel better,
