Third Person's POV
The wedding had ended, and everyone was satisfied, especially John. If Celina and Jefferson just acted, John would not have noticed anything either. He was busy with the guests when they were at the reception. He was occupied by nonstop greetings and best wishes for the newlyweds and an overwhelming number of gifts from everyone who had all left the ceremony happily, except Noris.
In the mansion, the newlyweds were in their room trying to rest when one of the maids knocked on their door. Celina was looking at them when Jefferson opened the door for her.
"Sir, Sir Noris is outside. He was drunk and was breaking everything. He was calling you out.
" The maid informed him. He looked at Celina, who was waiting for him to say anything.
"I'll be back; stay here." Jefferson told Celina, who just nodded. She was curious why Noris was making a scene. She knew him, and she was shocked earlier when she found out that they were brothers. Noris was her friend, and he had not told her anything about his family. She would not have known that he was wealthy if she had not married Jefferson.
Meanwhile, John was almost at the mansion. He was worried that Noris might do something stupid. Before he went to see Jefferson, he called John first, informing him that it was Celina whom he liked and he was blaming him for not telling him that it was Celina that John wanted him to marry.
"What's all this Noris?" Jefferson asked, neglecting the fact that he was his big brother.
"Why did you have to marry her? I thought you loved Wendy? Why did you have to marry Celina? " Noris asked Jefferson
"What do you mean? Did you know Celina? Did you know my wife? " Jefferson asked.
Before Noris could answer, John interrupted him, "Noris, what do you think you're doing?" John asked.
"Dad, why didn't you tell me that the woman you wanted to marry was Celina?! If I had found out that it was her, I would not have refused. " He said, crying.
For the moment, Jefferson was speechless. He thought his dad had offered him the marriage first. It turns out that he was the first one to receive the offer, but he refused. For what? Jefferson looked at John, asking for answers.
"I offered the marriage to him first, but he refused because he already loved someone, and it turned out to be Celina as well." John told Jefferson.
"You didn't tell me that it was her. She was the only one that I wanted. I was working harder so I would be able to offer her something that I could do myself. " Noris told John, crying.
"I never told Jefferson either. I offered it to you first, so you wouldn't think I'm being unfair to you. " Jefferson looked at his dad and then at Noris, whom he saw for the first time in a very vulnerable state.
"Come on, Noris, let's go. Leave your younger brother and sister-in-law alone." John told him while pulling him up. He was now kneeling on the floor while Jefferson was just watching them until they got into the car and left.
He stayed at the mansion's front door, thinking about Noris. 'He refused the company for the woman he loved, who happened to be my wife.' He thought.
If he had not refused, or if he was greedy, he could have got the company and the woman he loved all at once.' As he got inside the mansion, Jefferson murmured. When he reached the stairs, he stopped for a while and looked up. He still couldn't believe what he had found out.
When he went back to their room, Jefferson found Celina's luggage still on the floor. He looked at it and then at Celina, who was getting something in her purse.
"Why are you not yet starting to put your things in the closet?" Jefferson asked Celina.
"I already asked your maid to clean the vacant room for me tomorrow. I will unpack when the room is ready. " Celina answered.
"You're not going to stay in this room? What do you think my dad will say once he finds out that you were sleeping in a different room? Is that how much you dislike me? " Jefferson asked angrily.
"It's nothing like that. Uncle John won't know because everything you buy for me will stay in the closet. He wouldn't think we were sleeping in different rooms unless your maids told him or anyone. " Celina simply replied. John was still for a moment. He thought if there was someone who should want them to sleep in separate rooms, it should be him.
He remembered what Noris said earlier and thought that Celina liked him as well. Seeing that they knew each other made Jefferson think that Celina was trying to keep a distance between them because of him. With that thought, Jefferson became infuriated and looked at Celina angrily.
"Stay in this room. I don't want anyone to know how miserable my marriage life is. End of discussion. " He said and left their room. Celina was just staring at him and didn't know what she had just said to make him angry. She still hadn't unpacked her things and decided to do what she had planned, but decided to follow Jefferson only for tonight and went to bed to sleep. She didn't want to think about his grumpiness as she didn't care at all that Jefferson left so he could be with his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Jefferson went to his study. He thought that Celina was willing to make their marriage work when she decided to agree to it. It turns out that she just agreed and wanted nothing else. He decided to sleep in his study so Celina wouldn't be uncomfortable in their room. He prepared himself on a couch when his phone rang and he saw that it was Wendy. "Babe," Wendy said.
Wendy sighed and said, "You know, you know that it is my wedding night."
I still want you, babe. I love you. Please come back to me. Wendy said, sobbing. Jefferson rubbed his face with his hand after hearing Wendy. He didn't like to hurt her anymore as he was not like that.
"Wendy, I am already married. We're done. " He said.
"No, don't say that. I love you and I still want you. I am not asking you to divorce your wife. Just spare me some of your time. It was more than enough for me. Wendy pleaded.
Jefferson didn't like that; he didn't want a mistress. He was not an a****** and he respected Wendy for being his longest girlfriend. He didn't want her to become his mistress and destroy her. He knew he wouldn't be able to give her what she wanted anymore.
"Wendy, I respect you. I didn't want you to become my mistress. You deserve more than that. I'll pretend I didn't hear you say that. Goodbye, Wendy. " Jefferson said and hung up. He didn't want to talk to her anymore as he was afraid that he would give in to her if she insisted.
He started to think about his marriage. He couldn't help but to remember how their break up went on.

Jefferson's POV *** Flashback ***"Let's break up," I told Wendy as soon as she got in my car. Wendy just looked at me for a moment, shocked. "What? Babe, what are you talking about? This isn't a funny joke," she responded worriedly after taking in what I had just said. I'm not sure why; shouldn't she feel sad or wounded and not worried? What is she so concerned about?"You're just saying that. Fine, let's try f****** in your vehicle. I know you've been begging for this, so let's try. Just don't make jokes like that, huh?" she added, going to sit on my lap but I stopped her."I'm going to marry someone else that Dad had arranged for me," I informed her."What? He knew we were dating, why would he do that?" Wendy cried. "He never once talked to me and attempted to keep me away from you, why would he suddenly urge you to marry someone else?""I'm not sure either; he just informed me earlier, and I didn't want to upset you by continuing our relationship," I stated."No, I can never agre
Third Person's POV Jefferson rushed to the hospital thinking Wendy was in a critical condition. He started to blame himself for what she did and he thought he would not be able to forgive himself if something happened to her. He was on his way to the nurse's station when he looked around and saw Wendy's figure not too far from the staircase. He was thinking about what she was doing there when the nurse who called him told him that she had overdosed. He walked slowly because he noticed that she was talking on her phone as she walked down the stairs. "I called him and he answered, so there's no way that he and whoever that woman was, were busy on their honeymoon." She said, "I'm sure that this is going to work, it better be. I didn't want to lose him either. Can't you imagine, all the things that I got used to will be gone forever? No way, I ain't gonna let that happen, so I am going to try to separate those two and be with Jefferson when he needs a companion." She added, which mad
Celina's POV I wake up early, nothing unusual about that. When I looked at the other side of the bed, Jefferson was not there already, or to be accurate, he never came to sleep at all. I get up from the bed and went to the bathroom. I can say that his room was really beautiful and I like his bathroom because it was spacious. There were toiletries that I could use and if I didn't know that we are being forced into this marriage, I would think that Jefferson cared for me for exerting his effort in buying everything for me. The facial wash was all expensive. It was the one I usually saw on a glass cabinet that had a lock on it. Did he actually think that I use such expensive things to wash my face? Well I decided to just use it because it was mine after all. After I washed myself, I changed my clothes and went down to the kitchen. I was planning on making my own breakfast bottle maids already done for me. "Ma'am Celina, you can wait for your breakfast on the dining table." On of th
Jefferson's POV I know that Celina knew that I left because she was already at the dining table very early in the morning. I was sure that she thought that I went to see Wendy and I didn't deny that. Even if I was cruel to Wendy, it was because I found out that she was cheating on me from the very beginning. I know myself that I am not going to cheat on my wife even if I don't like her a bit. But after knowing the truth, I feel relieved that I don't need to feel guilty towards Wendy as well. The talk that I planned to have with Celina was very simple. I will just let her know that I am going to leave the country and that I am making her the officer in-charge when I'm away. I asked her to come to my study room and wait for me there after she ate because I know that I stink. She didn't noticed me get in so I watched her massage her temple. I got a little worried and asked her if she had headache and she replied "slightly." I don't know how that was but she insisted on talking even if
Third Person's POV After Jefferson left, Celina started to work on her design. The five designs she finished before meeting with Jefferson in Clandestine was her last project and she had not accepted any after that because she had been busy with their wedding preparation. Thinking about their wedding, Celina realized that Jefferson had been with her all the time. He accompanied her in choosing her gown and even when she talked to the wedding organizers. She didn't want to have a grand wedding but John wanted it so much so she let him do what he wanted. She never heard Jefferson complain about everything and she was happy about that. The only thing that angered her was when he left on the night of their wedding. She decided to stop thinking about it anymore and work on her new project. Jefferson on the other hand went back to his study room. He wanted to make a plan for Celina to follow as she managed the companies. He will be making a list of people she can ask for help as well
Celina's POV With everything that the board said about me, there's no way that I am going to stop myself to prove them wrong. I will make sure to slap my performance to their faces. Jefferson was a good teacher, he explained to me everything I needed to learn and I had a feeling that he was amazed at how much I learned fast too. We were in his office and was telling me about the people that I can consult in the company if there was something I was confused with when Noris knocked and got in. Noris is now the vice president of the company and we will be working together when Jefferson leaves the country. "Daria handed me this, she said to give this to you when I passed by her table." He said and handed a folder to Jefferson. He took it and had a look. "Hello Celina, how have you been?" Noris asked me and I smiled at him saying, "I'm fine." "Having trouble so far?" "No, not at all." I replied. "That's good," he replied and I knew that he was going to tell me more but Jefferson st
Warning!! Mature Content!! Jefferson's POV After I left my office I went to see my friends to say goodbye. We were having so much fun and they were worried about me being alone there. Well, they don't need to because I can take care of myself. They thought that I was not happy with my marriage, that's why I decided to leave instead. "You don't have to do that man. you can stay here and at the same time manage your business in Kenom. You are such a genius and it will be easy for you." Mark told me. He was right though. I can manage the resorts and casinos even if I was here. I don't really need to stay there but I decided to go because of some things that I wanted to think about. I told them about how much Noris likes Celina. "Are you serious? It was the reason that you shouldn't leave." Mark exclaimed. "Yes man, Mark has a point." Noli added. "I know, especially when I didn't know how Celina felt towards Noris." I told them. "How are they to each other? You said Noris was in the
Third Person's POV Celina woke up and found herself beside Jefferson who was still asleep. She couldn't believe that they did it. She got up from the bed slowly as Jefferson was hugging her. She didn't want him to wake up as she felt shy about what had happened. 'Just how many times did we do it that my body feels sore and in pain?' she asked herself as she went out of Jefferson's bedroom and rushed to her room. She didn't think that she can still clean up herself so she decided to continue her sleep. While doing so, she was thinking about what she was going to tell Jefferson when they saw each other in the morning. Thinking about him leaving made her feel anxious as to whether he will still leave or stay now that they had done something they thought they shouldn't. Because she felt really tired, she couldn't help but fall asleep as she looked forward to the next day when they saw each other. The next morning, Jefferson woke up and was looking for Celina beside him. He got up and l
