Mr. Handsome

They made their first stop at the exclusive boutique of Trish. Trish's boutique was famous for their designer collections. Nick had brought Mira here so that Trish could get her presentable for the party. Mira's usual work clothes were very simple, sometimes he even thought that the pay he gives her may not be enough to even buy some more decent clothes. As she was going to be his partner for the night, he needs to ensure that she looked pristine. As soon as they reached the store, Nick ushered Mira to go in and get ready for the gathering. He waited patiently for her to come out. This he had never done before. Most of the times, he would pick a model or sometimes their brand ambassador as his partner. They would always try to flatter him and doll themselves with all the exclusive brands to impress him. Unfortunately, he never once gave them a look. He would keep it very professional with them and after the gatherings, he would either have a driver or his special assistant send them back. But today, he had picked Mira. She, for sure, is someone who lacks a decent gown for a party and may be even if given one, she might not even know how to get ready. He had never seen her put any makeup. After 2 long hours of waiting, Mira finally emerged out of the boutique's dressing room and made a small noise "umm..".

Nick who was initially immersed in his laptop raised his head in the direction of the sound and was awestruck. In front of him, stood Mira in a full length off shoulder sequined evening gown in blue color. He couldn't take his eyes off her. She looked too beautiful. That dress really suited her very well. With her naturally pale skin, she looked like a fairy. He sized her up and down, trying to see if there is anything about her that is out of place. But to his surprise, it seemed that the dress was tailored for her. There was no doubt she would be very eye catching tonight. 

Sensing his gaze on her, Mira stood there like a doll. She looked into his eyes and lost herself there. This was the first time ever that she got ready. She hoped that he would atleast tell her that she looked presentable beside him. She never had those unreachable dreams where someone would call her beautiful and charming. But still, today she wished someone complimented her. It took a good 2 hours to get ready. But here he was, sizing her up without a word. She really wanted to know what was running through his mind. 

Since it was Nick's request, his friend took it upon himself to get Mira ready for the party. He followed Mira out the door and stood there for sometime before making his presence known to them. Hearing Trish, Nick quickly came back to his senses, he quickly took out a jewelry box and gave her. He urged Mira to put in on so they could start to the party. Seeing that Mira is still not back to her senses, he just took it out and put it on her himself and he pulled her by hand while Mira was still in daze and quickly left for his car. Looking at their interactions, Trish couldn't help but be amused that Nick has finally found someone who could make him speechless without saying a word but just standing in front of him. He hoped that his friend would realize that he has special feelings for the lady and take care of her. Nick had always been aloof and distanced himself from female populations, there were absolutely no gossips about his relationships dispite being in that position.

As they entered the banquet together, everyone couldn't help but feel inferior to them. He is a man with sharp facial features, green eyes and naturally black hair and beside him is a petite lady dressed like an angel and wearing a dazzling necklace worth millions with an innocent look on her face. They looked like a match made in heaven. All the men were mesmerized by her beauty, but were frightened by the glare from the man beside her. And all the women were jealous that she was his chosen companion for the night. Nick felt like he did a mistake bringing her here all dolled up. He should have brought a model with him or better just attended alone. He didn't like it one bit that all the males in the room were looking at her to get close to her. At that moment he simply felt that all the men are unreliable and he should make sure that they are kept at a bay length from his girl.

To make her stay with him, he made her drink for him whenever someone toasted. Mira is someone who is used to social engagements and can hold her drink quite well. Tonight, Nick had 2 reasons to make her drink for him. One he wanted her beside him, no matter what. He couldn't let her out of sight. He was not sure what would happen if she was away, he simply didn't want to give a chance for anyone to try anything on her. And secondly, he had sudden urge to see how she would be when she is drunk. Anyway, he will be by her side, so no one could take advantage of her, even if she is drunk as a skunk. He can take care of her.

Seeing that the lady was drinking for Nick, there was an overwhelming group of people who wanted to get close to Nick. She had to drink a lot of wine on behalf of him. By the end of the day, she was very dizzy and couldn't even stand properly. Nick had already met with the host and so he quickly pulled her out to avoid Mira from embarrassing herself. He was sure, she would hate him if anything happened at the party. Wehn he finally brought her to the elevator, she was clinging on to him like a koala and started blabbing out things she would never utter when she was conscious.

She looked at Nick and said seductively, " Hey handsome, you look as good as Nick but you are very sweet. I like you very much."  Hearing this Nick's scalp went numb, but he quickly got back to his sense and thought he would play with her. "Do you like Nick that much? Who is he?"

"No, no handsome. I don't like Nick. He always has a poker-face. He is very arrogant and self-centered, but unfortunately boss of mine." Just as he was about to ask her something, she continued, " But I will tell you a truth. You are right. He is drop dead gorgeous. Forget about women, even men would be attracted to him. But I know he is not my Mr.Right. So, will you accompany for tonight?"

"See, It took a lot of time for me to get ready today. He didn't even compliment me. That's why I don't like him. Now, you tell me..Am I beautiful?" She said pouting cutely. Looking at her antics, he just wanted to bite her. But he knew better and restrained himself well and replied her. " Yes, you are very beautiful tonight." He lips curled up slightly without his knowledge.

To that she gave a very huge smile showing all her teeth, "See I know. Not all handsome men are heartless like him. You are quite likeable. "

"Mira, do you know what you are talking.?"

"Hey handsome, why are you so serious all of a sudden? The serious look doesn't suit you well. You look very cute when you smile. Leave the arrogant and serious expressions to that jerk and you have your sweet smile on."

She paused for a second, to catch her breath and continued, "So handsome, are you coming with me tonight? I want to cuddle you to sleep. Don't worry I stay alone. Let's spend the night at my place."
