Chapter: 6.
*****The city of Aquarial was created thousands of years ago. Thousands of years ago, the sea creatures roamed the Seven Seas, causing havoc and ruins among themselves and those who would trespass under the sea and above. It was a chaotic disaster for tens of thousands of years. Until the Gods took pity upon the sea creatures and sent forth a Fire Trident. It fell and merged deeply into the sea mountain. It was the only mountain in all of the Seven Seas and it has seven apexes all connected to one base. The sea grew warmer, the fishes went away into hiding, famine struck the Seven Seas and for many years the sea creatures feared their fate until the Elder of Elders summoned all sea creatures and asked that each Elect within themselves someone they considered worthy to lead and be the ruler over the Seven Seas. The sea creatures gathered, each having selected a worthy leader and thus the Elder of Elders led the seven leaders up the sea mountain to its apex. There he had the MerElves chosen to pull on the Fire Trident and the elf did, using all his strength and soulpearl but wasn't able to draw the Trident. The next was the Merdragon. Even he wasn't able to draw the Fire Trident. The Merfish failed. The Merfaires elected the most beautiful and powerful fairy but even she wasn't found worthy of the Gods to draw the Fire Trident.Even the Merwitches and wizards with all their many tricks and dark powers couldn't draw the Fire Trident. The whispering Ghosts, with their powerful siren song, their tones of deception, capable of luring the most powerful of sea creatures to their demise, failed and at last, the Merfolks sent forth their elected and he came forward, forsaking his soulpearl, he placed his hands on the burning Trident and it's fire eased away into his hands, consuming the merman and without his soulpearl, he howled in pain and pulled with all he was worth. He was favored by the Gods and he became the first Neptune of the seven seas. All sea creatures bowed before him and swore an oath of worship and loyalty. The great event came to an end, Neptune was made ruler and he named the cities within Aquarial.*******For the Merfaires, knowing they preferred to stay hidden, away from other sea creatures, they only appear when there is an extreme need for them, for they were small and fragile and could easily be mistaken as never present and trampled underfoot, even be eaten by troubled wild sea beasts. They made the sea flowers bloom, they kept the fruits and vegetables nourished, and kept the wild sea beasts in check. The Merfairies were essential to all sea creatures and their safety paramount. To them, Neptune gave the city of Scytis and with their soulpearl they created a barrier to rise above the city, guarding it against wandering sea creatures and wild sea beasts and any form of impending danger. Then next, King Neptune gave unto the MerElves the most peaceful, gentlest, and kindest of all sea creatures, and the most powerful in healing herbs and potions. To them were given the city of Ebilor. A place of healing, a place of peace.Next, King Neptune called the Merdragons and to them were given the city of Riveri for its dwellings and surroundings were filled with iced streams, flowing rivers, and the lake of immortality. To the dark soulpearls of Merwitches and Wizard, Neptune bestowed the city of Glasa, and once they made home within the city, their dark soulpearls energy filled the sea sky with evil aura it was so strong it began to sip into the neighboring cities and with the Fire Trident, Neptune sealed Glasa and other sea creatures were forbidden to go in contact with its dwellers. For they had no good in them but are filled with trickery and dark magics. The city of Merlona was named and given to the Whispering Ghosts. It is daring to trespass into their abode for if any sea creatures are found wandering in Merlona and if they harbor any form of greed or hate within their heart, the siren songs of the Whispering Ghosts would suck their soulpearl and entrap them within the walls of Merlona until they too become a whispering Ghost.Aquari became the capital of Aquarial and the Realm of the kings.Atlaria was the city closest to the Seven Apex Sea Mountain and its dwellers where Merfish folks who were named the custodians of the Sea Mountain favored by the Gods and generation after generation once in ten thousand years a keeper is born and the current king will be called upon by the Gods and another will rise in his stead and for generations, the name Tide ruled and they were the watchers of the Fire Trident after Neptune only they were given the power to lift and wield the Fire Trident, it was forbidden that a Tideian shall lay finhands on the Trident unless the King couldn't wield his Trident.*********As years flew by, many Neptune died and so did Tideains the keepers of the Fire Trident and peace rained in all the Seven Seas. They prospered greatly and grew in knowledge, building their cities into a place worthy of the Gods themselves, using precious gems, golds, precious stones, and abundant sea treasures. It was a city never before seen. Until the day Atana the daughter of the fifth King Neptune went above the sea and discovered land dwellers. It was known that she fancied a certain mortal, helpless and weak human and she would often disobey her father for the sake of this mortal. Sea dwellers hated her for her poor taste in love thus she became the first to discover land and the humans who occupied her, the sea dwellers didn't see why she would choose a worthless mortal over them. But, Atana was strong-willed and nothing would break her away from her desires, not even Neptune. She went to Glasa and took dark magic which gave her the disgusting things the mortals walked on land with and she became the first mermaid with the ability to switch bodies, once in the sea she changed into a mermaid, and on land she was like them, a mortal on two hideous legs. Her father loved her still, he couldn't hate his daughter for finding love. But, other sea creatures disagreed with Neptune. Many said he has gone soft for she was his only daughter and he was lenient to deliver punishment to his daughter. But how could he punish her? She had found love. Even the Gods wouldn't punish a soul for finding love. With the dark magic of Glasa, Atana discovered another dark magic that gave her human lover the ability to breathe underwater and she brought the two-legged mortal to Aquarial. And he became the first man to discover the great city of Aquarial. The first man to breathe and speak underwater like he was another sea creature. He promised the king great love and devotion to his only daughter and the king saw no reason to hate the weak mortal and so he gave his blessings. Since the witches of Glasa couldn't get magic to transform a mortal into a merman both Atana and her husband Duke went to live on the lands as mortals, but only Duke knew his wife was a mermaid.*********With time, the humans and the sea dwellers became acquaintances, their children were allowed to play with the merbabies even the fairies couldn't hate the humans and once in a while, they would appear to them. Granting wishes and making their younglings happy. The humans told many great tales of the sea dwellers and having witnessed and seen them first hand could make paintings of them to keep for their generations to come.Neptune allowed it, but humans were weak and mortal and they aged and died in time. Atana wasn't mortal and it grieved her heart as she watched her husband age while she remained as she was. She never wanted him to die. And once again she visited Glasa. For her request, she had given up her most treasured, she had offered her soulpearl to the tricky witches so they could grant her the magic to make her husband young again and they, in turn, told her that there was only one way for Duke to obtain immortality and that was for him to drink of her blood. She hid this away from her father and her people and went back to the lands. She fed her husband a goblet filled with her blood and once he had recovered within a few days the people marveled and yearned earnestly that he told them the source of his sudden youthfulness. His wife had made him promise not to tell another soul and another hundred years passed and neither did the human nor his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren aged neither did any die. They all fed from their mother's essence and the world couldn't take it anymore. They raged a war against Atana and her household, called them witches and vampires, and said they ate the blood of their neighbors and of their neighbors' children to keep young. It was a hard time for the poor mermaid and her beloved. She yearned to return to the sea, even to do as little as sending a soulbutterfly to give her poor father the news of her predicament but she couldn't for she had been tricked by the witches of Glasa and her soulpearl has been snatched from within her, leaving Atana nothing but as weak as the ones she loved and fought to protect.**************Chapter: 7.******The laws of the Heavens, The Seas, the Underworlds, and Earth could not be tested but Atana had tested fate and changed what wasn't meant to be and worse using dark powers from Glasa. There is a saying in Aquarial 'Nothing Good Comes Out Of Glasa' she understood these things better but she chose her part. The Gods were angry and they withdrew their favors from her. The humans suffered and tormented Atana, so much so she couldn't show her face outside of her home. They were all afraid to go out for fear of what the people would do. And Atana's beauty began to fade. One of her great-grandchildren betrayed her, he went and told the townspeople that the source of their youthfulness was the blood of the mermaid who was his great-grandmother. This railed the people, they were filled with wrath and animosity towards Atana. Their hatred for the mermaid grew and her secret, exposed. Their sailors sailed the Seven Seas in their hundreds, tricking merfolks and all sea dwellers
Chapter: 8.*********"So? Did he fall for it?" The eager merman sitting beside the one that had placed the call asked once the conversation had ended. Roan turned towards the group of six and smiled grandly. "Of course, he did, he's completely smitten by me, it's pitiful." He spat, a taste of disgust lingering. "By the gods, he has to be the dumbest merman since the Fire Trident graced the Seven Seas." The first hateful merman mocked and the others laughed. "Even the crab soldiers would outsmart him," Hiro added. The crab soldiers were the dumbest of all sea creatures and they're mostly considered the clowns of the Seven Seas so they are often used in comparison with unintelligent sea creatures."When had you even discovered he preferred mermen rather than being embraced in the tender arms of a mermaid." Bay inquired and Roan just smiled. "I've known for a while." He replied with pride as if he had won a Nobel Sea prize."To think that he had to be the Tideian, ugh, makes me wan
Chapter: 9.********"Hello, Dad," his favorite cheerful voice resounded around his ears and he chuckled warmly. She still brings the light into his dark heart. "Hello, Princess." He called back and she giggled. "Did you forget what day today is?" "Did I now? Mhmm..." the man pretended to be lost in deep thought and the little girl just laughed harder. "What day is today?" He asked, causing her to laugh louder. "It's my birthday, you silly old goose!" She yelled between giggles."She called me old. My own daughter called me old, oh what a life." This cracked the little girl up harder and she nearly tumbled over from her end."But, you are old, my silly old goose, Daddy." She said between giggles."My poor heart.""I know you didn't forget." "Of course, I wouldn't forget the birthday of my one beloved." Her laughter boomed and he smiled. "Happy sixth birthday, monkey." He finally said and she laughed."Thank you, Daddy, but this monkey is getting bigger and bigger." She asserted as
Chapter: 10******The crystal moon took its full size and its glorious brightness filled the great city. Sea creatures gathered in their hundreds to watch the crystal moon grow bigger and its brightness was exceedingly great, it brightness near blinding and the Sea Creatures couldn't look upon it for much longer. It was time they each returned to their homes and rested and as they all retired to their homes, the Tideian made his way to the Sea Mountain, the crystal moon glow eased into his body, the Tideian marks scattered about all over his body each creating a spiral returning to the crystal moon, the Tideian soon became as bright as the crystal moon even his eyes glowed like the moon and then he was ready.Having made it to the Base of the mountain, he began to summon the falling Tears into the many Golden jars he had made to appear, each creating a circle around the Tideian. The Mountain Tears began to drop into the Jars, its divine sparkle twinkled like millions of sea pearls.F
Chapter: 11.*****Tide woke up to a burning sensation spreading fast across his left arm. Its pain was too intense and the burning scars which were starting to erupt from within his arms were beginning to drape his entire left arm with red bruises. He tried to heal himself but not after the third attempt had he realized that something was terribly wrong. He couldn't feel his soulpearl.Like his life had just been sucked out of him.He was...weak.Before his eyes he watched the bruises expand, spreading fast and eating up his arm, filling it with inflamed, painful, pus-filled boils. He needed help or he would die.Could it be the Mountain Tears he had dipped his hand into the day before? He had indeed acted foolishly. Why would he use his hand when he could have used his magic? Knowing just how powerful an undiluted Mountain Tears was. If the raw mountain Tears could cause sudden drought, how much more, his hand? How had he not thought of that? He had indeed acted foolishly. He hiss
Chapter 12.*******Naga returned with three different healing potions. Each in different shaped bottles. Placing the small bottles on a nearby table, he turned towards the still sleeping Tideian, whispering a few spells then reached for his hair, cutting a strand of his hair, next he proceeded to scrape a few scales from the Tideian's tail. Once he had finished with what he needed, he slowly returned to his sitting position beside the table which held the bottles. Both Venus and Nixie watched intently as the Merdragon casts spell after spell, the room grew foggy with magical mists, a few iced droplets of water fell upon them and they watched in awe as the dragon transformed before them, into a giant snow dragon, picking up the sleeping Tideian with giant wings and holding him afloat in the mist, more spells were summoned. The process lasted for an hour and once the spell was done, the Merdragon retreated to his formal form and then proceeded to reach for the bottles, the hair, and sc
Chapter: 13.*********The vision rather than comforting her left her with even more concern and more questions but the more questions she asks... "I don't understand," she whispered, turning to look at her dearest friend. "Naga," she called, tears brimming in the corners of her eyes. "Will I have to mourn the loss of my son?" The Merdragon held despair and pity in his icy eyes for the aching woman. ....the fewer answers she got."Although the future is not set in stone, I haven't felt death in his future, but there will be abundance of pain and suffering. His fate, like I mentioned earlier, is tied with Atana. And just like she did, he too shall journey into distance lands, a fulfillment of his destiny, and that of Atana's." He pulled both Venus's hands into his and held her hands in his. "Your son will be the greatest Tideian ever heard in all the Seven Seas." She nodded. As long as he wasn't going to be dead she could manage. She would have fought to avert this fate but she knew b
Chapter: 14.*******"Hi, Daddy." The cheerful voice resounded through the speakers melting into the man's ears and he smiled warmly. "Hello, princess." She giggled. "How are you, my love?" He asked."I'm fine, thank you, Daddy, how about you?" She returned."I'm doing good, baby girl." He smiled. There was a short silence before he asked again. "How is school?""School is school." She replied nonchalantly and he chuckled."School is school, huh." He returned between laughter and smiled when he heard her exhale."Yeah, it's always the same thing every day, it's boring." She sighed and he forced another chuckle. "I have missed you, Daddy, can I come visit when we go on vacation?" "Of course, sweetheart, you are welcome to visit if your mother allows it." He frowned at that last thought."She's just too busy with her husband these days and oftentimes it is just me and Natalie." She paused and he heard her sigh. "Who is Natalie?" "She's the housekeeper and babysitter too." She sighed
