Chosan's POV

"What are we looking at, Shod? Don't tell me it's…"

"I'm in wonder too, darling."

The panicked mumbles of my parents slowly rose me up to a sitting position. My shaky eyes were fixed to my both parents, scanning them as they climbed from the bed.

"Dandan… Mommy…" The words came out cracked and drowsy.

My parents didn't seem like their usual smart self, but it's clear that they were in deep pain all the while I wasn't around. It gave my heart a thick ache just by looking at their faces. They were looking haggard, and their faces, most especially my mother's, sunk in like an old couple. Everywhere was sagged. It was just too hard to watch them.

"She speaks, Molane!" My father's eyes widened as he grabbed my mother's left hand stretching to reach my face.

"Is this our daughter's spirit? It isn't time for the sacrifice, right?"

"They would have invited us to come for the ceremony if it were to be so."

"Then what's happening? Are we beginning to hear things now, Shod?"
