I lay in my bed.
Screaming amid a pool of sweat. The darkness will not let go of me, and I struggle against her embrace as I drown in her sea of agony.
"No!" I exclaim. "No! Please release me." I toss and turn, my limbs tangling in the sheets as my head thrashes against the warm pillows of the hotel.
"Mikros (little one), calm down. You're safe, I am here." I can hear his gentle voice attempting to reach me as he calmly tries to pull me out of my nightmare.
I continue to follow his voice as it leads me out of the tunnel and into the light.
As I open my eyes, I jerk awake, panting for air.
Morning has come.
My room is illuminated by the sun, and I turn to face Amar. I throw my arms around his neck. "We're alive," I cry. "It wasn't real, none of it was real." I cling to him tightly as he tries to pry my arms away.

LISAMay 17th 2018I sit up, clutching the side rails of my bed as I watch my knuckles turn white. LAYLA May 17th 2018. I lay back on the bonnet of the car in the carpark to CLUBROOMs. I observe as the horizon gradually begins to shift. The flock of birds disperses over the sky just before dusk. CADDIE May 17th 2018 I eagerly await Mal's arrival. I am holding Vanko accountable for his promise to bring her over so I can witness for myself how well she is doing. To be quite honest, I have already changed my clothing three times, touched up my makeup every twenty minutes since 8 a.m., and sprayed a shitload of my favourite perfume on. All of this is to prepare for the possibility that he will come to the door and catch a glimpse of me. I want him to fully grasp what he is missing. I reapply clear lipgloss to my lips, comb my fingers through my hair, and return my gaze to Jaxson, who is currently having his first nap of the day. I stand by his crib, keeping a watchful eye on him. My face curls into a gradual smile. Even though he has Ace's blood coursing through his veins, I will always love him unconditionally, and while I have no idea where Ace has gone, to be honest, I could not care less.

MADDIE May 17th 2018 I pull up outside the club dressed entirely in black and wearing a blonde wig underneath the Patriots cap I found under the passenger front seat. I remove the petrol can from the car I rented from another town. I gave Chad 24 hours to contact me and re-offer my job with a few extra perks. CHAD May 22nd 2018 The loud crackling sound of fire echoes in my ears as burning phantom pains lick my skin. My eyelids feel heavy as I look through clouds of tears that haven't subsided in multiple days. They say time heals all wounds. Whoever said that needs a bullet between the eyes the lying bastards.
