37: THE DICKSONS

PEBBLES' POV

The past couple of days had been chaos. Bradley had two therapists come by the house since I demanded a meeting with them. I wanted to see if I'd be comfortable enough to lay on a couch in their office, spilling all my secrets and fears.

The first one was a Mr. Spencer. He was a regular-looking man around Bradley's age; he spoke friendly, and he even had the nice guy-next-door smile, but the moment he shook my hand, I noticed it in his eyes. That thing that men like Sinister and Harrison possess, that twisted desire and greed that if they did not get what they crave, they would snap and take it by any measures necessary. Bradley saw my discomfort, and he immediately bid Mr. Spencer farewell.

Mr. Cromwell was a unique case, and believe me, I say case because that's what he was. His beady eyes and sweat-stained armpits painted a picture of an addict of some sort. At least that's what Bradley said after he left. The first thing Mr. Cromwell mentioned was medications to help
