CHAPTER 13
They hit the road and were getting close to Landon's mansion when he saw something awkward about Kimberly.
“Hey, are you okay?” He asked looking at her. She looked all sweaty and tired.
“Oh yeah, I am fine.” She said trying to smile. But Landon knew she wasn’t herself at all.
“You need to use your medications.” He said increasing the speed of the car targeting to reach home in no time.
Kim began to hold her tummy painfully, Landon wasn’t himself anymore. He couldn’t bear to see her that way.
“We would be home soon Baby.” He said in a shaky voice and she nodded slowly. He increased the AC level to a higher one so she could feel a little comfort.
But this didn’t seem to work. She was all sweaty. She shut her eyes and tears rolled down her eyes, She was feeling pains all over.
“Please just some few minutes more,”

Daniel got to the hospital in no time, parked his car, and jumped out of it in a haste. He opened the door to the police station and walked in carrying his bags of documents.Who knows? Anyone may be of use.He stopped at the first table where he sighted a cop busy on his PC.“Hi. I am Mr. Landon Hernandez's Lawyer, I need to speak to my Client.” He said and the cop raised his head to look at him.“Hi. Meet that lady over there, she would lead you to where he is.” He responded and Daniel nodded.“thank you.” He said walking from his presence and walking to the lady cop at the other end.“Hi, can I see Mr. Landon Hernandez? I am his Lawyer.” He said and she nodded.“Yes sure, you can. Please follow me.” She said leading the way, and Daniel followed behind her. She led him into the interrogation room where Landon was still seated.

He got into the ward and met Kim laying on the bed with her eyes shut. Tears threatened to fall off his eyes but he refused to let it.He walked closer to her bed and sat on the bed next to her.Kimberly felt someone was next to her, so she opened her eyes slowly to find out who it was.Her vision became clear and it happened to be her Dad.“Dad.” She said happily, letting out a tired but genius smile.“My baby. Please make yourself available.” The cop said and Landon nodded standing up.“I will surely heed to your call. Alex walked into the hospital, watching everyone around him. He didn’t want anyone to find out he was in the hospital.He got to the doctor's office and knocked on the door. He opened up and walked in to see the doctor doing something on his personal computer.“Hi.” Alex greeted smiling.“Hi, sorry do we have an appointment?” the doctor asked and Alex nodded.“I am the one that called you hours ago.” He said and the doctor's mouth curved in a circular shape.“Oh, so you are the one. We can carry out the tests now, so you can confirm my health status, and we can even do the surgery now. It’s just someone who needs money.” The doctor responded and they both felt so happy.He remembered what Alex said.“I would love to tell them myself, I don’t want her to say no to me. AFTER A DAYLandon and Peter waited for the doctor to come outside. They were eager to know what is happening with Kimberly.The door opened and they rushed to the doctor as he came out.“You don’t have to worry. She is perfectly okay. Everything is stable.” The doctor said and Landon shut his eyes giving thanks to God.“I am so happy about this good news. Thank you so much, doctor.” Peter said and the doctor nodded before walking away.Landon smiled widely, opening his eyes and looking at Peter.“Congratulations to us.” He said and Peter laughed.“Congratulations it is.” He responded.“We should go and see her now right?” Peter asked and Landon nodded.“you go, I will join you,” Landon said and Peter furrowed his brows.“Are you going somewhere?” He asked and Landon smiled.
