Emily’s POV:
“What the hell are you saying, Oliver?” I asked widening my eyes at him.
“I am serious, Em” Oliver said.
“What the hell?” Mel said.
“Yes. I heard it from the students” Oliver said.
“Was he only accused of the murder or did he actually do it?” I asked anxiously.
“He was accused and some proofs were also there. But still he got out of jail because he is a Bryce” Oliver said.
“Why did they let him out? He’s a murderer” I complained.
“Em… Please. Calm your nerves. Don’t do anything stupid again. Do not accuse him of anything” Melissa said.
“But Mel…” I started.
“Em, please. We are not even sure if he was the murderer. It’s just some accusations” Mel said.
I sighed. “What if he tries to hurt me, huh?” I said anxiously.
“Don’t worry. He will not do anything” Melissa said, placing her hand on my shoulder.
“I hope so” I said anxiously.
“I am sure. He fought with a guy. He won’t do anything with a girl” Melissa said confidently.
“He won’t, right?” Melissa wasn’t sure and asked Oliver.
“I hope so” Oliver said hesitantly. I gulped and looked at Melissa fearfully.
“Don’t worry” She said and hugged me.
As we moved apart, Oliver added, “It’s class time. Come on”
“I am going to skip class” I said timidly.
“Em… What are you saying?” Melissa said.
“Mel… I can’t face him. I am shit scared after hearing his past story” I said.
“Em… You can’t skip all the classes every day, right? You must face this” Mel said.
“Listen to me…” She turned me to her and added, “If you get a chance, just apologize to him. I am sure he will understand that it was a mistake and nothing else” Melissa said.
“Yeah… I think she is right” Oliver agreed.
“Yeah… Sounds right to me, too” I said and smiled. Melissa smiled back and we all left the room. We went running to our class, entered in and got seated. I didn’t find that rich guy or his friends anywhere in the class and wondered if they were going to come. I was happy and relieved after not finding them in my class. Mr. Martin came into the class and we greeted him.
“Hello students… it’s so good to see you all, again this year” Mr. Martin said and smiled.
“I heard what you guys did in the gymnasium, by the way” Mr. Martin said. Some of us laughed but kept quiet.
“You guys should welcome your freshers, wholeheartedly. You shouldn’t scare them off, guys” He said.
“Mr. Martin, its Lincoln Park’s tradition. We wanted to have some fun. Innocent fun” Ryan said and winked. We all laughed.
“Yeah… I know that very well” Mr. Martin smirked and said, nodding.
“I always support you guys but don’t push it too far. Be mature” He said. “Ryan… specially you” He added pointing towards Ryan while he nodded.
“Anyway… I must tell you one thing. This year is going to be tough for you guys. You must have good grades to get into prestigious colleges and for that you must work hard for your grades. You should keep aside all your parties and your so-called fun and focus on your studies. You can have as many parties as you want, once you get admissions in your desired and preferred colleges. Do you all understand me?” Mr. Martin said.
“Yes” We all said in unison.
“Of course…” I whispered hopefully.
“Now… I would like you all to meet them” Mr. Martin said. I, who was sitting peacefully on my chair before, got restless and gulped. Please, please don’t be them, don’t be them. I thought, closing my eyes tightly.
“We are excited to meet them, Mr. Martin” Giselle said shyly.
“Of course you are, Giselle” Mr. Martin said to which the whole class laughed except for me as I was tensed up a bit.
“Anyway, I must introduce you to the four new but senior students who are transferred from one of the best schools of Houston, St. Peter’s High School to here in Lincoln Park to complete their final year” Mr. Martin’s words kicked me in the guts as I closed my eyes and sighed.
“Oh no…” I whispered and looked at Melissa who was sitting to my right. She looked back at me.
“Calm down” She murmured.
“Here comes those four students” Mr. Martin said and showed us the door from which the disaster came in walking. Those four all-in-black students walked into the classroom in a classy manner, looking debonair. I looked at them distressfully as Aiden gazed at me while walking to Mr. Martin.
“Let me introduce Aiden Bryce to you all. He is Kevin Bryce’s son and they are now one of the most influential families of our town. Also, he was one of the top students in St. Peter’s with remarkable grades” Mr. Martin said placing his hand on Aiden’s shoulders. I was amused by his academic information.
“And the other three also belong to highly upper class families. This is Dylan Cruz” Mr. Martin introduced the blonde one with sapphire blue eyes and porcelain white skin.
“And this is Lucas Raymond and Mason Cyrus” Mr. Martin introduced the other two. Lucas has brunette hair and ash white skin with ice blue eyes while Mason has curly caramel brown hair and rose white skin with hazel green eyes. They were all handsome and dapper, I admit.
“We welcome you guys here” Mr. Martin said.
“Of course we do” Ryan said and smiled.
“Thank you” Dylan said and smiled. The other two were also smiling while Aiden looked serious making me nervous.
“Get yourselves a seat” Mr. Martin said, smiling. They nodded and moved towards us to find them chairs. Dylan sat to my left and I looked at him. Just then someone banged a book on my desk. Having a jolt, I looked up to see none other than Aiden Bryce in front of me.
“Move” He said in a serious tone with an icy gaze. I looked at him with my widened eyes and opened mouth.
“Aren’t you listening?” He said bitterly.
“Wh – What?” I asked fearfully and gulped.
“Move and go back. I want to sit here” He said and I kept looking at him, startled…

Emily’s POV: I was looking at him startled while he gazed at me and stood there waiting for me to stand up and move back. “Emily…” Someone called out but I was so lost in Aiden’s eyes that I didn’t bother to respond to that voice coming at the back. “Emily Parker” Someone said out loud and I travelled back to Earth and realized that it was Mr. Martin’s voice. “Um… Y – Yes, Mr. Martin?” I asked in nervousness. “You should move back and give your seat to the new student. You must make them feel welcomed, you know” Mr. Martin said. I didn’t like that but out of respect, reluctantly stood up and picked up my bag while staring at Aiden. “Move faster” He said arrogantly. I looked at him and wondered how arrogant he was. I kept looking at him and walked to the back of the room to find a chair for myself. “Okay… Good” Mr. Martin said while Aiden sat down on my chair making my blood boil. He’s so arrogant. Why is he like that? I thought in frustration as I opened my book angrily and our
Emily’s POV: “What?” He asked me with an attitude. “I ah…” I cleared my throat and continued, “I wanted to um…” I couldn’t complete due to the nervousness. “I don’t have any useless time to waste on you” He said arrogantly and turned back around to walk away. “Um listen to me… Please” I said and ran towards him. “Please wait” I added and he stopped. I ran forward and stood in front of him. “I wanted to um…” I said and paused there. “I wanted to apologize to you” I added and took a deep breath. He deepened his eyes at me while tilting his face to a side. He kept looking at me with his eye brows raised up. “Okay” He said and rolled his eyes after which he moved forward to walk. “For, for…” I said and raised my hand up in the air to stop them. “For um… the thing I did before. I made a mistake and took you as a fresher. I didn’t know you were a senior, too. So I just started to… you know…” I said while moving my hands in the air and continued, “I just started to overpower you befor
Emily's POV: "Em... Don't worry. He won't do anything. Let's go home" Melissa said. I took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes. She is right, he won't do anything" Oliver said and shook his head. I looked at him and widened my eyes. "You are such a..." I said but didn't complete and instead hit him on his arm. "Ouch. What is wrong?" Oliver asked me while rubbing his arm vigorously. "You yourself told me that you are wondering what he might do now and you scared me like shit and suddenly you are agreeing with Melissa that he won't do anything" I complained. Melissa started laughing. "Well, I didn't want to scare you, but I was just informing you that he might do something but I think he won't do anything" Oliver said in confusion which I didn't understand. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I took a deep breath and started, "Anyway, I can't think about this anymore. I need to go home, now" "Yes. You don't need to think about this. Let's go home" Melissa said and I nodded. "Bye then, see
Emily’s POV: “Y – You?” I said in my broken voice, looking at him with my fearful eyes. “Didn’t you expect me here after what you did today?” He asked. I was frightened to see Aiden Bryce standing in front of me with his intimidating personality and scary icy eyes. I wasn’t expecting him there in my house. “N – No. How…?” I couldn’t complete my sentence as I was shocked to see him there. He crossed his arms against his chest and waited for me to complete. I took a deep breath and added, “How – How did you get in?” “Does that matter?” He asked tilting his face to the left side. “Wh – What?” I asked fearfully. “Does it matter how I got in? Because you won’t be able to take any precautions ahead” He said and slid his hands in his pockets and stood there in style. “What? Why?” I asked in confusion. “Because you won’t get to live to take any precautions” He said. “What – What are you saying?” I asked and I was about to cry. “I am going to kill you tonight, Miss Emily Parker” Aid
Emily’s POV: I screamed and moved my hands in the air after which I realized that Aiden had released my hands. I started breathing heavily and sat up straight on my bed but then wondered how Aiden let go off me so easily. I stopped bawling out for help and opened my left eye to see if he was still there. To my surprise, Aiden was not there and I wasn't on my bed, instead I was on my couch in the living room. I looked around in perplexity and then focused near the kitchen area to see if there was a broken vase or my telephone on the floor. They weren't there too. My mouth was left open when I realized it was just a dream and not the reality. "Oh my god..." I said and slid my fingers through my hair, pushing them back. "What - What..." I huffed and puffed and added, "What was that?" "It was so real. I can't - I can't believe this. Thank god it was just a dream" I said to myself and sighed. "This Aiden guy is entering my dreams and that too in a shit scary way" I said. "God please
Aiden’s POV: “You bloody…” I said to Dylan as he answered the call. “Hello, Mr. Kevin” Dylan said and smiled. What a hanger-on! I thought while looking at him in frustration. “Hello Dylan… Is Aaron there?” Mr. Kevin asked. I gestured him to say no but he had some other evil plans for me. “Of course, Mr. Kevin. He’s sitting right next to me” Dylan said, making my blood boil and handed over the phone to me. I reluctantly took the phone and added, “Hello dad” “Aiden… Where’s your phone?” He asked. “Um…” I started and looked at Dylan who was pointing his fingers to my phone. “Right here” Lucas whispered from the couch opposite to me and they all started chuckling. I looked at them angrily and added, “Um… dad, it’s – it’s in my room. What happened?” “Nothing serious but I was calling you but you didn’t pick up so I called Dylan” Dad said. “Oh… Why were you calling?” I asked. “I wanted to ask you about how your first day was at this new school” Dad said. “I see… Yeah it was good
Emily’s POV: As my eyes swung open, I immediately looked around for Aiden if he was there. As I saw no one around me, I took a sigh of relief and closed my eyes back again. As I took three deep breaths and meditated on my bed for about ten minutes, my phone rang, breaking in my peace. It was Melissa on the phone. “What?” I asked in frustration with my eyes still closed trying to get back to my peace. “What happened to you?” Melissa asked on the phone. “Nothing. I am meditating, Mel” I said lazily. “Oh come on… You can meditate later. Listen to me” Melissa said excitedly. “What?” I opened my eyes and got attentive by her voice filled with excitement. “Do you know what is going to happen today?” Melissa asked in excitement. “What? Aiden going to make my day hell? Yeah, well I know that” I said resentfully. “No… He won’t do anything” Melissa informed like she knew him. “This is about something else” Her excitement grew. “What is it? I don’t know” I said anxiously. “Today we a
Emily’s POV: I gulped and tilted my face up to look at the owner of those shoes. I saw Aiden Bryce standing there in front of me, looking at me intensely with his eyes locked upon me. “Um…” I got nervous and began to put my books back in the bag, hastily while my hands shivered in between. I grabbed and picked up my bag in my hand while looking at Aiden but didn’t realize that I was holding the bag upside down until when all my books slipped down all again making me want to bang my head on the wall. I widened my eyes on the floor and looked at Aiden who looked back at me and rolled his eyes at me. I wanted to give a reaction but decided not to mess with him again and restrained myself from provoking him. I looked down at the books messed up on the floor and then looked back at him to see if he was going to help me this time. To my surprise, his friends stepped forward and bent down a little but were stopped by Aiden as he lifted his hand up in their way. They stopped then and there a
