Chapter Thirty-Eight

TW: Rape/Sexual Assault

   Cassandra was awoken by a serene sound. She opened her eyes slowly, and sat up. This wasn’t her bedroom. Her eyes roved the length of the area, it looked to be a garden of sorts. There were roses, lilies and daisies around her, as well as trees and shrubs. Beneath her feet, she could feel soft grass. She rose to her feet, as her eyes took in more of her surroundings. The serene sound that had woken her up, could still be heard in the area, as though the birds were all singing a particular hymn. The energy felt different here, she felt rejuvenated.

  What was this place?

She walked through the forest, her fingers dancing over errant leaves, and branches, as she wondered on her purpose for being here.
