The car stopped in front of a hotel and Edward carried sleeping Clara in his arms into a small room booked for them. While carrying her inside Edward looked at the fragile woman in his arms, who was his wife and felt a sharp pain in his chest. This was the woman he has taken a vow to protect and cherish yet he was the cause of her current state.

It was almost eleven in the morning and Edward gently closed the door with his leg, after entering the room and carried Clara to the bed. He laid her gently on the bed.
