Chapter 9 Journey of no return

A few moments later.

Natasha stood in front of the full-length mirror, a knee-length dress in her hands. She had bought this dress for herself as a gift on her last birthday, but she hadn't gotten a chance to put it on. She had hoped that she would put it on if Kenny asked her out for dinner, but things had now ended between her and him and the dress couldn't be worn on such an occasion.

The fabric of the dress was a delicate shade of lavender, adorned with intricate lace detailing along the neckline and hem. As she slipped into the dress, it hugged her curves perfectly, accentuating her slender figure. The color complemented her fair complexion, making her eyes sparkle with a hint of excitement.

She looked at herself, and she liked what she saw. This time round, she wanted to focus on herself, she wanted to lift her spirits up. She didn't want to think about anything that could make her sad. Natasha opened the top pocket of her bag and took out a makeup kit. She hadn't applied makeup
