Chapter 32: He Brought Me a Fiancee

“G-Grandpa...” I mumbled. It took a second before my grandfather broke off the hug. 

“How are you?” he asked again and then stared at me. I glance at my mother, and she’s waiting for me to give her father a response. 

“I’m doing good.” I almost stuttered for the first word, but I managed. “How about you?” I added when my grandfather’s eyes were asking for more. His wrinkled lips suddenly formed a smile, and it gave me chills. 

I shuddered quickly when he was about to reach for my cheeks.

“I see. I’m also great.” my grandfather said as he withdrew his hands from touching me. The smile disappeared from his face, but I quickly averted my gaze and looked at my mother. “If you don’t want to talk to me, I won’t force you,” he said as he tilted for me to pass.
