Chapter 41: Abducted?
“Then, do you have a secret?” I was stunned by Chris’s question. My heart was beating furiously along with my heavy breathing, but I immediately calmed myself. I should not show him that his words affected me.
“What secret, Chris?” I asked. We stared at each other for a couple of seconds, then he suddenly laughed and averted his gaze.
“Nothing, Gands. You’re too serious!” he muttered without looking at me.
“How about you? Are you hiding something from us?” my question made him turn at me in a second. Even if I wasn’t sure, Chris was startled in a brick of time, but he hid it immediately.
Even though we’re not in the same situation, I’m sure with the slight movements he made, he’s also hiding something just like what I did. He’s been acting strange lately.
