Chapter 47: An Admirer

“Miss Alejandro, here are the things you told me to look into,” Jay mumbled as he reached a pile of folders in front of me. I removed the eyeglass from my face and took the files from his hands.

“I don’t expect you to finish it in such a short time,” I said and stared at his wakeful eyes. It’s been three days since I ordered him to take a background check on those names. I thought that it would take a week before he could comply with everything. 

“There is no point in staying awake late if I can’t finish this. Do you need something else?” I shrugged. 

“I will call you if I do. Anyways, you should take a rest. Thank you, Jay.” he nodded and immediately left my office. Also, for three days, I was just in the office and waiting for Jay’s update about what I told him to do.
