“Are you okay?” I swiftly brought my gaze to the front and stared at Alchy, who was at the driver’s seat. I nodded. “Are you really sure about this?”
“Yes.” after hearing my answer, Alchy turned his eyes in front and positioned his hands on the steering wheel. Without wasting any time, he started the engine.
“Captain...” my gaze turned to Lieutenant Grey, who’s sitting next to Alchy. He glanced at me before continuing, “We can’t afford to bring an outsider inside Bridi. It’s a battlefield. How can we go there with this woman? Other than that, we still have an assignment to finish.”
I was sitting at the back, facing both of them. I caught Alchy glance at me using the rearview mirror. I don’t know, but my throat suddenly went dry. I moved my head to the side and leaned on the window while the car moved.
