The castle seemed to sigh when I entered and I sighed right back at it. But now the 100th challenge of the day: Finding my bedroom. I knew it was straight on. I also knew I couldn't ask someone. So I wandered on, until I stumbled upon a room that was far more intriguing than my dull bedroom—an inviting lounge. The room had big, cosy couches, bookcases lining the walls, and four roaring fires, each positioned opposite the other. The walls were adorned with red carpeting, and the ceiling was entirely made of mirrors. The warmth of the fires enveloped me, and with a hint of drool at the corner of my mouth, I ventured further, captivated by the books on display. Among the books, various weapons lay scattered about, but I paid them no attention. Samael's knife was securely tucked against my upper leg, concealed beneath my dress. My dress was still covered in blood, and it disgusted me for a second, but then the fire seemed to flame up and I ignored my filthy state and walked in. Choos
And just like yesterday, we both looked down shocked. "Don't I?" I asked with an arrogant voice back. "I could have your fucking head for that." Samael snapped, stepping forward angrily. But my anger overtook me and I was so mad at him. So mad at him for taking me from a world which I loved and keeping me here, that I whipped across his skin again without a care in the world. Another deep cut on his body that matched the other one, and he looked down annoyed. He wasn't even feeling it. It didn't look like he was in any pain. "Again." He ordered. Now it was my turn to be taken aback. "What?" "Again. Do it again. Get it out of you." He commanded forcefully. This time, I obeyed. I brought the whip down once more, and the sound it made was sickening. Blood gushed from his chest. "Again." I lifted my whip up when someone knocked on the door. I gasped and panic raced through me. I would be dead. "FUCK OFF!" Samael yelled, keeping his eyes on me. "But, my ki-" "FUCK. OFF. NOW." Sam
This guy couldn't be serious. This was actually a joke, right? He chose the most lingerie-looking outfit I had ever seen. Black. Black! To a wedding! The skirt barely covered my ass, or rather, didn't cover it at all. The top was nothing more than a bra. Was he delusional? After taking a freezing cold shower, I come into my room and see this? My whistle started before I even opened the window of my room. I whistled as loud as I could with my eyes on the garden down below. A knock sounded on my door not much later. I swung the door open, hastily ushering Nija inside, and the first thing I did was throw the ridiculous outfit in her face. "What's this?" She asked with a frown. "My outfit for the wedding," I stated, seething with fury. Her eyebrows shot up high. "You're wearing this?" she asked incredulously as she held the two tiny pieces in front of her. "No. Definitely not. Anything BUT that." I answered with a hopeful tone. She caught on to my words and looked at me. "No." She
"Come with me." Nija whispered suddenly in my ear. I showed no reaction, not even the slightest movement. But when she tapped my hand and headed towards the right, I immediately followed her through a side door. "You're sitting at the front." Nija said, still walking. "You're joking." I responded incredulously. "No. King's orders. He didn't look too happy. I guess you escaped before he could get to you?" Nija asked, and I could sense a hint of pride in her tone. "Correct. Not that he could do anything with this dress, anyway." I proudly stated. "That's why I chose it. You look fucking amazing. If I were king Satan, I would ditch Guirita the moment I saw you." Nija complemented, leaving me taken aback. Before I could thank her, she led us through a door ahead, revealing an enormous ballroom. The high ceiling almost reached the castle's height, and the tall windows let in plenty of light, were it day. Now, the night sky and the thousands of stars were visible. Chandeliers adorned with
He eyed me for what felt like an eternity. Eyed my curves, the naked skin of my waist, my breasts which weren't covered with a bra. I couldn't, with the open back. His gaze finally settled on my neck, which was completely covered. No bruises were seen, no puncture marks, no skin. Fury. Absolute fury. But also something else. Almost as if the desire I saw overtook the fury. But then his eyes met mine again and only fury was to be seen and I knew I had imagined the desire. The hunger. The demons around us were becoming restless as he unknowingly released his Wrath essence, causing growls to echo in the room. He managed to control himself and walked past me without attacking me on the spot, which was a relief. As he reached the podium, and turned around, his face was a mix of pure seriousness and rage. So much rage. The power emanating from him seemed to encompass the entire kingdom. "Kneel." He ordered with an angry voice. His eyes went to me and they blackened with anger. His co
Relief swept through the room as the wedding ceremony reached its climax. The ring slid around her finger. "Demons! I present to you! King Satan and beloved, his wife, the mother of our heirs!" Cheers. Screamed. Yells. Alcohol went up. A total frenzy. I remained silent, unable to react even if I wanted to. "King Satan! You may taste your bride!" The pastor's voice boomed over the crowd. Taste? Did he just say taste? As Samael lifted Guirita's veil, my heart went from panic to a complete standstill. Her face was finally fully visible, and she looked up at him with adoration. His face leaned down, and she closed her eyes with a small smile around her lips. Instead of slow motion, the world seemed to stop for a while. But then it sped up and I watched the scene unfold with wide eyes. I expected them to kiss. I knew what a kiss meant, knew he would be tied to her forever. A bond so deep, it melted their life forces together. But instead, Samael's face went directly to her neck. H
"Fay."I also turned around and found Wruy standing in front of me, his hand extended towards me in invitation. "May I have this dance?" He tried to smile but failed miserably and I hesitantly took his hand. "Uhm... Sure." I mumbled and gasped when he pulled me towards him, closer to the middle of the room.In the dimly lit ballroom, bodies swayed close to us. Wruy wrapped his arm around me and I was too shocked by the movement that I didn't protest. He was touching me so openly. "Are you allowed to touch me?" I asked with a frown when I placed my hand on his shoulder. "For tonight, yes. The king trusts me." Wruy answered as he moved us closer to the front.I was confused for a few seconds. Until I saw Samael sitting at the table, looking at us. Wruy moved us even closer to the table and when I looked up at him, I just saw the end of a subtle nod towards the table."Trusts you with that? To baby sit me?" I questioned with a scowl. Wruy looked down at me, surprised, but then grinned. "
There was only one place I could go. Only one place where I wanted to go. I walked past the fighting rings, where demons were preparing for their battles. I was unseen. Drunk demons stumbled and fell around me, but none dared to enter the silent, dark maze. I was completely alone here. Alone in the darkness. "Hey, buddy." I said to the willow tree in the middle of the maze. This place was already becoming a sanctuary to me. The leaves of the gigantic tree swayed slowly in the soft wind, almost as if it was greeting me back. My usual, lonely seat was empty and I sat on it, hidden by the tree on this cold night. Faint sounds of an epic party echoed in the distance, and flickering lights indicated that the night was far from over. I sat and stared in silence. Until an uncomfortable feeling washed over me. A chill ran down my spine, the hairs on my neck rising, and my body woke up with shock. A demon was close. Very close. I strained my ears to listen for any sound, but there was no
