Chapter 19: First Warmth

He wanted to leave, walk the rest of the way home, and bury himself under his comfortable sheet. The dinner from the two families wasn't exciting like he had already expected it to be. Let alone being in between the two guys who won't stop glaring at each other.

"Allen, I'm happy to have your presence at this table. "How have you been?"

"Great."

He answered blandly. The two parties weren't surprised. It's always been like this when they try to implicate him relating to business, and Allen merely treats it as it is.

"As you may know, you will be involved in our upcoming project. We wanted you to be the ambassador of our new product, along with our son, Allen. "

Jihan's mother stated without any hint of hesitation. From their previous talk with him, they knew that they wouldn't get an agreement with a gentle and hesitant tone. A smirk slowly appeared on his lips as they stayed quiet for his answer as he scoffed.

"Come on. Why do you still need me? Jihan can take my role. That's it.
