Stephen walks down the hallway towards Anna's room, his footsteps echoing in the silence of the now quiet house. Everybody was too traumatized to speak or act, it was a Sunday and his parents who were quite religious had no plans of attending the Sunday service, note like it bothered him, he didn’t believe in the concept of God anyway.

Stephen stops in front of her door and takes a deep breath before knocking gently. He can't help but wonder how Anna was feeling after everything that happened. She was probably traumatized by learning of a plan to kill her child, a baby she had carried for four months. He expected her to be pretty shaken up by that.
