More nightmares

I stare up at a grinning Charlotte, unable to move or do anything to save myself, even though her intent is very clear. Something tells me that this can’t be real and that she’s in prison somewhere paying for her crimes, but still, she’s in front of me, and there’s no denying it.

This time, I’m still in a hospital, but the circumstances are different. I’m not recovering from surgery this time around. Instead, I’m here to deliver my baby, and Charlotte is the doctor attending the delivery.

I stare up at her in disbelief, willing my mouth to open. My mouth does open, but nothing, not even a whisper comes out of it. My stomach is shooting out almost obscenely, and I can see the movements of my baby, but I can’t feel anything.
