Birthday Party

It has been a week since the party and today is Austin's birthday.

I woke up very early, tiptoed to the kitchen and began making cake, as quietly as I could. I put the batter in the oven and froze when I heard a noise, I sighed when the noise stopped.

I put the cake on the dining, waiting for him to come downstairs. I was tempted to laugh when he walked down sluggishly. It had been a long I saw him this way because I no longer cleaned the house.

"Good morning sir" I said bowing slightly.

"Yea morning" He grumbled, walking to the dining. He sat down and I opened the cake.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" I yelled with a smile and he stared at me for a while, did I do anything wrong?.

He munched on a little piece and had breakfast, then left for upstairs. He doesn't seem excited or was he pretending not to be happy.
