Chapter 49: Love is complicated.

Lucy's POV

I turned to look at Desmond.

"Why do you think that it's for the best to avoid me?" I asked him curiously as I watched him.

"Lucy, I can't give you what you want." He told me.

"What do you actually think that I want from you?" I asked him and he sighed.

"I don't know what you want from me, but what I do know is that the kiss was a grave mistake, one that shouldn't happen again." He told me in a low voice.

"Desmond I know that you are my Boss but I honestly felt an attraction..." I tried to say but was interrupted by him.

"You are mistaken ,I feel nothing for you." He cut off my words and I scoffed.

Desmond doesn't want me saying anything about him having feelings for me, when it was clear that we were both attracted to each other.
